Summary edit

Description
English: On Towan Head Looking towards the car park and the old lifeboat station at the landward end of Towan Head. The lifeboat station was constructed in 1899 and had the steepest slipway ever built. It was closed in 1934 with the advent of motor powered lifeboats, although it was reopened for a few years during the World War 2. The Headland Hotel can be seen centre distance and the large building on the far left horizon is the Atlantic Hotel, both in the featured square.
