English: On the edge of the Solent This is the view over the mudflats from the edge of the Solent. Chilling Cliffs and the rectangular blockhouse on the clifftop can be seen on the left. The roof and chimney of Sea House can be seen in the centre of the picture, on the horizon. Brownwich Cliffs can be seen on the right. The large inter-tidal zone is made up of shallow pools and mud, populated with sparse strands of seaweed. |
