English: Arms of King Richard II impaling the arms of Anne of Bohemia. "One of eight coats of arms carved in hard red Mansfield stone and attached to the abutments of Marriott Ogle Tarbotton's New Trent Bridge," black and white photograph, 1871. Text from Marriott Ogle Tarbotton's book 'History of the Old Trent Bridge.' Says Tarbotton: "These are the arms which, in the times of [Dr. Robert] Thoroton, existed in a window of the south aisle of St. Mary's Church, Nottingham."
