Summary edit

Description
English: During the traditional carols of the Pontic Greeks on Christmas Eve, one of the actors participating in the procession portrays a bride, symbolizing the coming “new year”. According to tradition, whoever manages to “steal” the bride protected by the Momogeri Guard (protectors of the ancient Greek God Momos, dressed in traditional Pontic costumes and colorful helmets with bells) will find great happiness in the coming year.
