English: Oneida (American Steam Yacht, 1897)
Photographed prior to World War I. [See Talk.]
Built by Harlan and Hollingsworth at Wilmington, Delaware, this yacht was ordered taken over for U.S. Navy service abroad on 14 July 1917 and assigned the identification number SP-432. However, these orders were cancelled on 27 September 1917 without any action being taken. She remained in civilian hands.
