Summary edit

Description

View from Onstad in the municipality of Aurland, in Sogn og Fjordane county.

What we see here is Aurlandsfjorden, a 29 km long fjord on the south side of Sognefjorden, the longest fjord in Norway. Aurlandsfjorden passes by Aurland and Onstad before ending up in Flåm, our destination.

Aurland is also famous for being the terminus of the Lærdal tunnel, which we drove to get here. At 24.5 km (15.2 mi) the Lærdal tunnel, which opened on 27 November 2000, is the longest road tunnel in the world.
