English: Newsreels in which Dutch subjects of a certain week are presented.
Protest in Amersfoort. Married couple demonstrates for better housing by residing in the open air in the Barchman Wuytierslaan near the station. The Algemeen Handelsblad (a newspaper) of April 10, 1924 thought this "peculiar protest" was a "sign of the times". Shots: provisional shelter (tent in a sort of cart) and signs explaining the situation of the couple; the couple drink coffee in the open air; a woman in bed is handed a cup of coffee.

Protestactie in Amersfoort. Echtpaar demonstreert voor een betere woning dmv een verblijf in de openlucht aan de Barchman Wuytierslaan bij het station. Het Algemeen Handelsblad van 10 april 1924 zag dit "eigenaardige protest" als een "teeken des tijds". Shots: provisorisch onderkomen (tent in een soort wagen) en borden waarop de situatie van het echtpaar wordt uitgelegd; koffiedrinkende echtelieden in de openlucht; vrouw te bed krijgt kopje aangereikt. |
