Français : A gauche : or. Pépite de 229, 5g. Californie, Etats-Unis. Don de M. et Mme Goné. Galerie de minéralogie du Muséum national d'histoire naturelle de Paris (France). Légende lors de l'exposition "Trésors de la terre" : "C'est un Français, Auguste Goné, qui découvre cette pépite lors de la ruée vers l'or californienne de 1851. A son retour, il la conserve précieusement, ce qui en fait une des très rares pépites de cette période à ne pas avoir été fondues.
