Description

Many of these orchids we saw just near Somerset lookout at Somerset Trail walk in the Mount Mee section of D'Aguilar National Park.

It is actually endemic to New South Wales, Queensland and Victoria. Closely related to 'Pink Fingers' C. carnea though typically white-flowered and the only autumn-flowering Caladenia. It is deciduous, and produces a very thin, wiry, green, hairy flower stem up to 30cm tall emerging from a single, long, thin leaf (12cm x 4mm). The flower is about 30mm across.
