Summary edit

Description
Deutsch: ORGANISATIONSBUCH DER NSDAP 1943: Tafel 26:

English: Colour plate showing uniform items of the political leaders (Politischen Leiter) of the paramilitary organized National Socialist German Workers' Party (German: Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei, NSDAP) in Nazi Germany:
  • Visor caps (Schirmmützen) for leaders at different organizational levels: Ortsgruppen (local level, German towns and cities), Kreisleitung (district level – German counties); Gauleitung (regional level, German states and their provinces), and Reichsleitung (national level, German nation).
The peaked caps were made of tan-coloured webbed fabric, with a traditional high peak and coloured piping (Paspel) along the top of the crown, as well as above and below the cap band (Ortsgruppe: light blue, Kreis: white, Gau: red, Reich: bright lemon yellow ). The cap band itself was constructed of khaki coloured doeskin wool. The insignia of the caps consisted of a gilt NSDAP cap eagle (Parteiadler, "Party Eagle"), with a gilt wreath and a separate tri-colour cockade with a black enameled swastika in the center. The eagle was in the shape of a standard Nazi style German imperial eagle (Reichsadler, "National Eagle"), with open wings and a mobile swastika within an oak wreath (see Nazi Germany visor cap insignia guide at Germandaggers.com). The visor was made of dark brown vulkanfibre, the chin cord of synthetic golden threading.
  • Visor cap with white crown.
  • Brown service uniform leather belt and embroidered brocade dress belt for parade wear, with NSDAP Political Leader Buckle adopted 1940 (see Nazi Germany belt buckle guide at Germandaggers.com)
