Description Postcard photo of a Pullman car interior of the Oriental Limited. The trainset was new in 1924, featuring all steel cars and the Great Northern billed the train as "the New Oriental Limited".

to 1931. The train disappeared from the GN roster for some time after 1931. This was a luxury, deluxe train which passengers weren't riding much during the Great Depression. The train came back with a modern, streamlined diesel trainset in 1946 and continued until 1951, when the train was renamed the Western Star.
