| Description |
English: Original Shaky Bridge Crossing the River Lagan, the "shaky bridge" linked the former GNR(I) freight yards with the BCDR lines to Newcastle and Bangor. Restricted only to light locomotives, it closed in 1965 and was demolished in the mid-1970s as part of the Central Line project, which reunited the two lines and gave Belfast a new "central" station. Not to be confused with the current bridge (see J3474 : The Shakey Bridge, River Lagan) which does not shake. |
