| Description |
English: The ill-fated and now defunct "Orpheus Reborn" was comprised of former drummer Harry Sandler (fired in '69 for "poor musicianship"), guitarist and singer Jack McKennes (fired in '69 for showing up to performances intoxicated), bassist Eric Gulliksen (left the group in '70) and Steve Martin (a.k.a. Stephen B. Martin) who contributed songs to the group and was later hired by Arnold to sing on the fourth and final Orpheus LP released on Bell Records. Notably absent from "Orpheus Reborn" was lead singer, guitarist and arranger Bruce Arnold who many have likened as the "Brian Wilson" of the group. Arnold lives in California and records and performs under the name Orpheus (which he owns) along with members Bernard Purdie, Howard Hersh and Elliot Sherman. |
