Summary
editDescriptionOtto Engine - Governor Camwheel closeup.ogv |
English: Closeup of how speed control works on an Otto engine. The small wheel to the right side of the mechanism either rides up over the cam or pushes to the right around the cam.
When it rides up over the cam, fuel is drawn into the cylinder for increasing engine speed. When it slides to the right around the cam, the engine coasts without taking in fuel. Recorded in "The Otto Building" at the Western Minnesota Steam Threshers Union (WMSTR), in Rollag, Minnesota |
