Summary

Description
English: After returning from America Mumbiram made his studio in the same house where he was born and raised. The house was now abondened and in a delapidated condition. It was near the iconic Mandai vegetable market of Pune. As such it had a prime location in the very heart of the city centre. During Mumbiram's stay here for the next 25 years it saw a steady stream of exotic indigenous folk people of India on the one hand and art lovers from far corners of the world on the other hand. This is the legendary atelier where the ideas of Personalism and Rasa Renaissance in Art were conceived and practised. It was torn down in 2005 by real estate interests.
