Inter-urban route no 44 to Aleksandrów Łódzki. A rather battered Konstal 102Na, no 46. These trams were from a different pool from the city routes. Linia tramwajowa nr 44 to Aleksandrów Łódzki does not seem to run any more having been discontinued between 1991 and 1995, replaced by bus nr 78. A list of current routes is found here says that by 1 April 1991, the route was cut back to Chochoła and the final closure took place at the end of 1991. There are some fine photos of the terminus here at Polocna in this site In the background of the above photo can be seen other 102Na trams at the terminus. TP Lodz took over the running of the outer routes, 43/43BIS /46 in 1994, and a list of the 803N trams taken over is here. The number 46 on the side of this tram is puzzling. |
