Description
English: Kalemie,Tanganyika Province 22 April 2017. Volunteers from United Nations Agencies (PNUD/UNICEF/PAM & MONUSCO) in Tanganyika rallied students of the University of Kalemie for a cleanup campaign of the surroundings of the university. The cleaning involved mowing of grass, sweeping and clearing of bulky waste. Seedlings and flowers were also planted to beautify the Campus. At the end of the exercise Public waste bins were installed in the university and students were educated on volunteering. Photo MONUSCO/Amuri Aleka
Français : Kalemie, Province du Tanganyika : 22 Avril 2017, Les Volontaires des Agences des Nations Unies (PNUD/UNICEF/PAM & MONUSCO) du Tanganyika, les étudiants et étudiantes se sont mobilisés pour une activité d’assainissement et de nettoyage des abords de l’Université de Kalemie (ramassage des objets encombrants et détritus ; balayage et nettoyage des abords de l’université ; tonte des mauvaises herbes). Des plantules et des fleurs ont été ensuite mises en terre pour embellir le campus ; enfin des poubelles publiques ont été installées.
