Description
English: In-hangar mating of thrust unit and missile body of Redstone missile RS-09 launched on April 20, 1955 from Launch Complex LC6 Cape Canaveral, Florida. Launch time 0151 hours EST. Failure. Guidance system malfunction at 310 sec due to air pressure loss. ST-80 lateral guidance only. Apogee 55 miles. Missed aimpoint by 7,000 meters.
