Summary edit

Description The former Public School 72, later Public School 107, and now the Julia [sic] de Burgos Latino Cultural Center. located at 1674-1686 Lexington Avenue from East 105th to 106th Streets in the East Harlem neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City, was built in 1879-82 and was designed by David I. Stagg in the neo-Grec style, with an annex built in 1911-13 designed by C. B. J. Snyder. It is one of the oldest intact school buildings in Manhattan. In 1994-95 it was converted into a cultural center by Lee Barrero and Raymond Plumey with Miguel Angel Baltierra.
