Description
Español: La Planta de Tratamiento de Aguas Residuales La Chira se encarga de eliminar elementos contaminantes de las aguas residuales mediante procesos físicos, químicos y biológicos para luego ser vertidos al fondo del mar. Si bien se respeta un proceso técnico este podría verse afectado por un eventual sismo o tsunami que provoque fugas propiciando, como pasaba antes de su funcionamiento en 2016, un foco infeccioso que perjudique a la población circundante y provoque una contaminación del mar. En las fotos se aprecian viviendas en la ladera del cerro y zona de crianza de cerdos.
