| Description |
English: The Punchaucancha temple, or "Temple of the Sun" was built by the Inca King Tupac Yupanqui after the Ychma culture was absorbed by the empire around 1450dc. It's located in the highest part of the Pachacamac sanctuary for sun adoration purposes and it's alligned with the solstices, and sacred constellations
It was all painted in red and was built as a "broder" temple of Qoricancha (the most sacred Inca temple) built by his father, the great Inca King Pachacutec in Cusco
