English: Paddington to Reading Railway, near to Ruscombe, Wokingham, Great Britain.
47445 with an express passenger train overtakes 47485 on a freightliner container train as they enter the cutting approaching Twyford station. This view is taken from the Southbury Lane bridge and the roof of one of the buildings on Southbury Farm can be seen behind the righthand grass bank. Houses near Girder Bridge are visible in the middle distance whilst Waltham St. Lawrence is visible in the top left corner of the photo. In the foreground, a handrail passing through a stand of Rosebay Willowherb marks the route of a set of steps allowing track maintenance workers to descend to the railway. |
