Summary
editDescriptionPaddling NE below Torr na Mòine - geograph.org.uk - 1800529.jpg |
English: Paddling NE below Torr na Mòine Northeast of Camas Salach, the south shore of Loch Sunart continues with a narrow shingly beach backed by birch woodland below the prominence of Torr na Mòine. Across the bend in the Loch, the slopes of Beinn Resipol dominate the scene - the higher slopes still supporting extensive snow cover, while the lower slopes down to the A867 along the north shore, are marked by dark conifer plantations SE of Resipole. Although tides are not strong in most of Loch Sunart, paddling close to the shore avoids having to fight the slight current owing to the tide being about the middle of the ebb. |
