At the foot of the perirrhanterion (as sculptured decoration) white Eros seated, playing balls - lebes B: naked youth, woman - production place: Poseidonia / Paestum - painter: unattributed - compare for the shape with the exuberant lid: RFVP plate 148 - compare for the plastic female heads on the shoulder RFVP plate 184e - compare for the motive „women at laver“: passim, e. g. RFVP plate 171b - compare for the zip-like border of the woman´s dress on B RFVP plate 120a, 122a-b, 129d, but for the white line in the middle of the border I did not find an exact parallel, neither for the white Eros at the foot of the perirrhanterion - the drawing of the figures and of the ornaments is quite fine and detailled, the lebes gamikos could find a place in the workshop of Asteas and Python - period / date: late classical / early hellenistic, ca. 350-300 BC - material: pottery (clay) - museum / inventory number: München, Staatliche Antikensammlungen NI 9916
