Description
English: In the old part of Tetovo, on the right bank of the river Pena, the Painted (Aladza) Mosque rises displaying its beauty. It is popularly known as the Pasha Mosque. The mosque was originally built in 1495.The donors of the mosque were two sisters, Hurshida and Mensure, who were buried in the eight-sided “turbe” (grave) in the yard of the mosque. In the year in 1833, the mosque was renovated and expanded by Abdurahman Pasha.
