Nothing beats a plate of paklay, a tangy and flavorful dish from the south of the Philippines.

Summary

edit
Description
English: Paklay is a dish from the Philippines that is made with different parts of pork and beef, such as the stomach, liver, heart, and kidney. They are cut into thin strips and cooked with pineapple, bamboo shoots, and spices, along with vinegar or tamarind to make it sour. It is a common food in the south of the country, especially in Cebu and Iloilo, and people usually eat it with rice or drink alcohol with it. The name paklay comes from the Cebuano word for cutting into thin strips, which is how the ingredients are prepared.
