Description

Buildings in Piazza Bra in Verona, Italy.

This is the Palazzo Barbieri in Piazza Bra, Verona.

Before we left in the afternoon I took this shot, in much better sunlight for that time of day.

The Neoclassical Palazzo Barbieri otherwise known as the "Nuova Gran Guardia" which now houses the town hall offices. It was built in 1838 by G. Barbieri in the then fashionable classical style.

Information from a souvenir book I bought called "Verona: History and Masterpieces - English Edition"

I take it that this is the New Gran Guardia then.

Behind to the left is The Arena.
