Description

Italiano: Palazzo dei Vescovi di Luni. Piazza Matteotti (Querciola) e uno dei suoi lecci centenari - Castelnuovo Magra. È la più evidente opera architettonica del centro storico, riconoscibile da lontano grazie alla sua Turris Magna, mastio del sistema difensivo. Dimora signorile costruita nella seconda metà del secolo Xlll per volontà del vescovo Enrico da Fucecchio, divenne fortilizio militare dopo varie ristrutturazioni avvenute durante la dominazione fiorentina e quella genovese, nel XV e XVI secolo. La Torre, completamente restaurata ed aperta al pubblico, è oggi sede di mostre ed eventi (www.comune.castelnuovomagra.sp.it)
