English: India is known for 'unity in diversity'. A festival conducted in Tamilnadu stands as a symbol for it. This is a unique samapanthi conducted in the district Kanniyakumari, Tamilnadu. People from various religions like Hindu, Muslim and Christianity come here to pray for their needs and lit a special lamp on a stone. They consider the food provided here as holy thing and eat it. People form various places beyond religion and gender come here the day before the festival and prepare the food for everyone. There is no restriction for anyone to enter into this festival. The place is ancient than more than 100 years.
