Description

Palm trees by Lake Whatcom. We do have a pretty mild climate west of the Cascade Mountains. Global warming? Invasion of Californians?

Growing up in Pullman, WA. I was fascinated in the variety of climates that can reside in one state. Palm trees don't grow in Pullman due to its high elevation and inland climate. I took an interest in California as there are so many climates in that state; from date palms to glaciers. Little did I know that my own state of Washington has some palm trees also; west of the Cascade Mountains.
