Description
Català: Sepulcre gòtic de Guillem de Torrella, cavaller que participà en la conquesta de Mallorca el segle XIII, cosí germà de Bernat de Santa Eugènia (primer governador de Mallorca), Ramon de Torrella (primer bisbe de Mallorca) i Guillem de Montgrí (arquebisbe de Tarragona i conqueridor d'Eivissa). Promogué la creació del convent d'agustines de Santa Margalida, llavors a la plaça del Mercat, i nomenà la seva filla Catalina com a abadessa. Morí el 1266, i el seu sepulcre romangué a l'església de Santa Margalida fins que fou traslladat, un segle més tard, a l'església de Sant Francesc. Amb la restauració de l'església de Santa Margalida el 1971, a iniciativa de l'arquitecte Gabriel Alomar es traslladà el sepulcre al lloc d'on procedia.
