Description
Español: El pan cruzado es un pan casi exclusivo de los pueblos y comunidades de Acaxochitlán, y se usa en diversas ceremonias y festividades. Es un pan de trigo de sabor semidulce y color dorado, con forma parecida a la de un corazón o unos anteojos. Algunos vecinos del municipio comentan que este pan representa las canillas (huesos) de los difuntos. Para el investigador Marco Buenrostro Hernández, representa los huesos de la cadera y por tanto es un símbolo de fertilidad.
