| Description |
English: This is a panoramic photo of the Swiss Light Source at the Paul Scherrer Institut in Villigen, Switzerland. The concrete shielding for the beam tunnels is visible in the lower-left and lower-right corners of the photo. The central hub holds offices, meeting rooms, a server room, and an open-air courtyard. The yellow racks between the beam tunnel and the central hub hold equipment for controlling the beam and other related functions. I took this photo myself while on a guided tour of the facility. |
