Description
English: "The Pantheon of Pirajá was built in honor of General Pedro Labatut (1776? -1849), who commanded the Brazilian forces at the Battle of Pirajá, the main battle of the Brazilian War of Independence, which began in the early hours of November 8, 1822. The pantheon, in the neoclassical style, was built in 1914. It is located next to the 16th-century São Bartolomeu Church in Largo de Pirajá."--Guia Geográfico, Cidade do Salvador.
