English: Parish Church of St John the Baptist - Bere Regis. It has Pre-Conquest origins, but was largely rebuilt in the C12, and further enlarged during the C13 - C16. It was restored c.1875 by G.E. Street. Justifiably famed for its mock hammer-beamed late C15 nave roof, with its braced tie beams incorporating figures of the apostles 924309. |
