Summary edit

Description
English: Photograph of the interior of Park Hall (1884), also known as Freethinkers' Hall, home of the Free Congregation of Sauk County (estab. 1852) in Sauk City, Wisconsin. It was designed by the architect Alfred Clas. Of the many Freie Gemeinden (free congregations or societies) established in America by freethinking German-speaking immigrants in the second half of the 19th century, the Free Congregation of Sauk County is the only survivor. As of July 1, 2018, it has 62 active members. Visible through the windows at the back of the stage, the bandstand, originally constructed in the late 1870s, is the second oldest such structure in the state.
