Description
English: Park View The original central square block was built in the 1840s by Dr Wilson who introduced Hydropathy (the "Water Cure") to Malvern. The water cure diverted from the use of chemicals and drugs. Instead patients were wrapped in sheets and soak in cold water, undertook high pressure douches and cold baths. They were made to walk the Malvern Hills drinking copious amounts of the famous spring water. The treatment succeeded in treating the over indulgent rich Victorians, probably due to fresh air, exercise and a frugal diet with fresh water and no alcohol.

Later it became the county hotel and expanded with the addition of the two wings. It was requisitioned in World War II to house the scientists who developed radar at the nearby Malvern College. After the war it was run by the YMCA to house young, unmarried scientists and apprentices on behalf of the various government ministries who ran the Royal Radar Establishment.

Towards the end of the twentieth century it was converted into luxury apartments and sold off.
