Description
English: The parking area off the eastbound lanes of the New York State Thruway at mile marker 442.6, in the Town of Evans, New York, as seen on a February 2022 afternoon. In addition to the 27 Service Areas with their dining facilities, restrooms, and fuel stations, the New York State Thruway also offers travellers eleven of these more limited-service rest stops (rebranded "text stops" in 2013 to combat distracted driving). In addition to overnight parking for both passenger vehicles and big-rig trucks, these areas offer garbage bins, picnic tables, dedicated pet areas, and emergency phones.
