Fundación del pueblo el 6 de marzo de 1593. Erección del municipio: el 27 de Septiembre de 1822 como entidad dependiente del imperio de Iturbide. 1927 colocación del reloj de la torre de la iglesia de San Juan Bautista. La gente humilde vivía en chozas de palizada, con techo de techo de tejamanil, las casas del centro del pueblo eran de adobe con amplios corredores los que lucían hermosos geranios. |
