English: About the train route from Moshi to Dar es Salaam
1. This method was introduced during the German colonial era in 1911. and officially launched in 1912. 2. It was the first railroad to be built by the colonial and was later known as the Usambara Railways in the German Usambarabahn later due to the need to consolidate their economic rule. 3. After independence the route combined with that of Mwanza and Kigoma became part of the new East Africa Railway & Port Authority which did not last since it collapsed in 1977 and came under the new Tanzania Railways Cooperation. 4. The railway services stopped in the 1990s, in 2007 an Indian bidder was entrusted with an organization that was not economically viable so the Tanzanian government officially took over and revived it. 5. The association is under a native director and with the budget given to him they can revive it including the Moshi route from Tanga to Dar es Salaam at the same time the repair of the Arusha route is almost complete. 6. Only last year (2019) in December the Smoke Road was officially launched with new Deluxe trains to start using. 7. The main routes from Moshi are Same, Hedaru, Mkomazi national park, Korogwe, Wami, Ruvu, Mpiji, Ngeta, Pugu and Dar es Salaam. 8. Apart from seeing the various attractions along the way this train is cheap and has good service restaurants and enthusiastic waiters. 9. The train leaves Moshi at 4 pm and arrives in Dar es Salaam the next day at 8am.
