In 1937 a junior branch of this family was seated at Withyshaw, in the parish of Merstham, Surrey ( Burke's Genealogical and Heraldic History of the Landed Gentry, 15th Edition, ed. Pirie-Gordon, H., London, 1937, p.1761, pedigree of Passmore of Withyshaw). Burke's Landed Gentry, 1937, blazons their arms slightly differently as: Or, a fess between three escutcheons gules on each a bend vair between two cinquefoils of the first all within a bordure azure bezantée. This therefore places the cinquefoils differently, as depicted on p.1761.
