Title
English: Pat Carrigher standing by cabin, ca. 1889
Description
English: Around 1889, a photographer snapped this image of a man identified as Pat Carrigher standing by a small wooden cabin at an unidentified location in western Washington State. Carrigher holds an ax and a large saw. His cabin and the ladder leaning against the wood-sheathed chimney are made entirely from hand-split cedar. Judging by his tools, Carrigher may well have done the work himself.
