Description
Español: Piso alto del llamado Palacio de los Fúcares, centro administrativo de la importante mina de Almadén, alquilada por los Fugger a la Corona Española, cuya producción de mercurio, necesario para refinar la plata y el oro, era exportada, en parte, a Veracruz a través de Sevilla. Otro centro, de menor producción de cinabrio se encontraba en Idrija. En el año 1630 la Flota de Nueva España embarcó 3.750 quintales (1 quintal, 46 Kg.) para Nueva España, necesarios para amalgamación del oro y la plata.
