I have indicated the location. You can go and look yourself. I suspect that a crack: - radiates out from the point of maximum force - tries to minimize it's length - tries to minimize the breaking force The longest crack is probably the first one. I have not found a good introduction to the physics of the crack formation. Can anyone help me? I suspect it is some kind of equilibrium or optimization, the patterns remind me of soap bubble structures. |
