Commissaire : Janet Holmes à Court AC. Curatori: Anthony Burke e Gerard Reinmuth in collaborazione con TOKO Concept Design (Michael Lugmayr, Eva Dijkstra). L'exposition présente six groupes d'architectes qui pratiquent l'innovation dans différents domaines depuis la robotique jusqu'à l'action humanitaire : - Healthabitat (Paul Pholeros, Stephan Rainow, Paul Torzillo) - Supermanoeuvre (Dave Pigram, Iain Maxwell, Chris Duffield) - Richard Goodwin Pty Ltd (Richard Goodwin) - 2112 Ai (100YR Ville) (Tom Kovac, Fleur Watson) - Le Radio Show Architectes (Stuart Harrison, Knott Simon, Christine Philips, Rory Hyde) - Archrival (Claire McCaughan, Lucy Humphrey)

Ce pavillon ouvert en 1988 a été conçu par l'architecte australien Philip Cox. Celui-ci a su tirer parti de la pente sur laquelle est construit le pavillon. Les deux volumes de ce bâtiment très lumineux sont reliés par un escalier et recouverts par un toit en forme de vague. Sa situation au bord du canal en fait un des plus beaux pavillons de la Biennale.
