English: The pedestrian ramp up to a rail overbridge (road and pedestrians) over the Southern Line in Auckland, New Zealand, near Sylvia Park. Not the best design - yes, they had to get the height up to the bridge for pedestrians and wheelchairs (though I doubt there will be many here), but they should have done it in a straight line from where the pedestrians are coming from, not make them walk such extra long switchback distances. Alternatively, they could have kept the footpath on the approach road, which also would have been more direct... |
