Français : MAI 1942 :

Impression en métropole pour les colonies de timbres à surtaxe pour la « Protection de l'Enfance Indigène et la Quinzaine Impériale ». Les timbres à légende Indochine seront vendus à l'agence de Paris mais ne parviendront pas en Indochine. Ce sont donc des « non-émis ». Néanmoins des personnes ayant acheté ces timbres à Paris les ont envoyés en Indochine, après la guerre, pour les faire oblitérer. C'est au mieux de la complaisance car ils n'avaient pas pouvoir d'affranchissement.

PEIQI sur lettre verso

Enveloppe philatélique avec les timbres de la série PEIQI, oblitérés "CHOLON / ❖COCHINCHINE❖" 22/11/46. Ces timbres n'ayant pas été émis dans la colonie n'auraient pas dû être oblitérés. L'affranchissement suffisant au verso en timbres "valables" a permis l'acheminement de la lettre .
