Description
English: A drawing of Beijing's main road in winter. The text to this picture says (in german): "Beijing in winter; left the japanese, right the german mission". The road is unpaved and muddy, the houses are small and the scene looks rural.
Deutsch: Zeichnung von Pekings Hauptstraße im Winter. Die Bildunterschrift lautet: "Peking im Winter: links die japanische, rechts die deutsche Gesandtschaft." Die Straße ist nicht asphaltiert und ähnelt eher einem Feldweg in ein Dorf hinein. Die Häuser sind niedrig, auch die Gesandtschaftsgebäude sehen bescheiden aus.
