Séc. 15 - é senhor de Povolide Pedro Lourenço Ferreira; 1513, 17 Abril - concessão de foral por D. Manuel I; provável construção do pelourinho; 1708 - segundo Carvalho da Costa, a povoação tem 280 vizinhos; 1709, 06 Junho - concessão do título de conde a Tristão da Cunha Ataíde, por D. João V; 1758 - nas Memórias Paroquiais, é referido que a povoação, com 44 vizinhos, é um reguengo da Coroa, sendo donatário o Conde de Povolide; séc. 20 - aproveitamento do fuste do pelourinho para sustentar uma mesa de pedra; séc. 19 - provável demolição do pelourinho.
