| Description | Just a sample shot of a Nothofagus trunk base covered with Peltigera to show the habitat. I've not found Peltigera to be abundant anywhere up until now. Here in the relatively dry Parque Nacional Coyhaique, especially in the drier, open, lower-montane Pinus contorta and Nothofagus forest, it is quite abundant in places. Especially the base of old trees, dry logs, and exposed mossy road banks. |
